Travelers will offer up to a 7% credit for your condominium/ townhome and homeowners policies when they also write the association’s insurance coverage. You also receive credit on your automobile insurance if Travelers writes both your home and automobiles. Writing your personal insurance with Travelers avoids any coverage discrepancies in the event of a covered claim since Travelers Insurance writes the association’s insurance. As always, the association by-laws state whether coverage should be placed through you, the homeowner, or the association.
